Farmers Mutual Telephone is extremely proud to provide Fiber to the Home (FTTH) to it’s membership. Farmers Mutual Telephone has been bringing services to our area since 1904. In 2006 the company began the process of building FTTH in the town of Okolona. The project really grew in 2012 when our fiber project expanded and the goal was to provide fiber to each home in our service area. By the time our project is completed Farmers Mutual will be able to provide a Gig to each home. Farmers will be one of the few in the country that has been able to achieve this. Only in the big cities do you see services like this.
The need for fast internet service has grown tremendously over the years, and Farmers Mutual recognizes that. We have taken the steps to insure that our customers will have the best internet service they can find, and it’s right here in rural Ohio with Farmers Mutual. Our customers can enjoy the rural life they desire while having the internet speeds they may find in the bigger cities.
Farmers Mutual has tried for many years to be able to provide TV services to its membership, however it has always been cost prohibited. In 2014 we teamed up with Ridgeville Telephone to be able to receive their IPTV feed in order to provide TV service to our customers. Since we are using their feed our packages and pricing need to mirror those of Ridgeville Telephone’s/RTEC.
